General Assistance

The MCLE Home Page consists of two separate areas.
  • The left side of the screen provides access to the Member or the Sponsor side of the site.
  • The search box on the right side of the screen provides an area to search for MCLE Activities or for WSBA Lawyers.

Please use the navigation bars that are located on the top and bottom of each screen in the site.
MCLE Activity Search

The Activity enables you to search for a specific course that has been approved, denied, or cancelled by the WSBA MCLE Department. Use key words or partial dates whenever possible. For example if a class titled "Ethical Issues Pretrial Prep. Stage" was offered by "WSBA CLE" on March 9, 2001, enter the search criteria month (March), year (2001), sponsor (WSBA), and title (Ethical).
Lawyer Directory

This is the listing of lawyers currently licensed to practice in Washington State. The WSBA Lawyer Directory is updated early every business day.

Links to individual attorney Web sites are a service offered by the Washington State Bar Association to its members. The lawyers who maintain their individual Web sites are solely responsible for their content, and for ensuring that they comply with the Washington Rules of Professional Conduct and all other laws or regulations.

Member Status

Active: Fully qualified to practice law and to participate in WSBA affairs such as voting or holding office. Only active members of the Washington State Bar Association, and others as authorized by law, may practice law in Washington.

Inactive: WSBA member in Washington currently not licensed to practice law. No person may be an inactive member whose employment or duties in the State of Washington constitute the practice of law.

Judicial: A full time current or former judge in a court in Washington State may be on judicial status.

Foreign Law Consultant: This status allows a lawyer from a foreign jurisdiction to advise or consult about that jurisdiction's law, but not about Washington law.

Emeritus: This status is a limited license for lawyers otherwise retired from the practice of law to practice on a volunteer basis for an approved legal services provider.

Foreign House Counsel: A limited license for in-house counsel licensed to practice in a foreign jurisdiction, working for a single employer that is not a governmental entity or provider of legal services.

Honorary: Retired 50-year members.

Suspended or Disbarred: For information about a lawyer showing this status, call the Office of Disciplinary Counsel at 206-727-8207.
